Event Information

Celebrate the timeless connection between Kate Bush and Emily Brontë on their shared birthday with a Mass Wuther like no other! This year, we’re taking the infamous ‘Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ tribute event to new heights— by bringing Bush and Brontë together at Penistone Hill (Haworth Old Cricket Pavilion), right at the heart of the actual landscape that inspired Wuthering Heights!

Join fellow enthusiasts of all ages and genders on 27th July 2025 as we ‘roll and fall in green’ by dancing along to Kate Bush’s infamous song inspired by Emily Brontë’s novel in the very setting that shaped Brontë’s masterpiece. All you need is a flowing red dress and a Kate Bush wig to take part in our unforgettable Wuthering Heights dance performance, inspired by Bush’s iconic music video.

The event will include a live reading from the novel performed by local poet Kate Fox, a series of practice sessions to perfect the iconic dance together in the open fields, and an exclusive performance by Sarah-Louise Young – the acclaimed artist behind An Evening Without Kate Bush who will be joining in with the dancing and bringing Kate Bush’s greatest hits to life!

We encourage all participants to learn the dance beforehand—you’ll find helpful tutorials on YouTube.
Following our celebration on the moors, we’ll be heading to Parson’s Field at the Brontë Parsonage Museum—where Emily Brontë wrote Wuthering Heights—for a communal picnic. Please bring your own refreshments and join us!
