Access

This year, we've improved our access information for each event to include -

  • a video walk-through of each venue
  • descriptions of the seating types for each event - and reservable seating for most events
  • how loud/busy you can expect each event to be
  • which events will have a mental health first aider present
  • which events have wheelchair access, BSL and induction loops
  • availability of food and drink at each event

Please see the "What's On" section of the website for full access information for each event.

We're dedicated to improving access to Happy Valley Pride year on year. We encourage anyone with access needs to get in touch with requests, suggestions or offers of support at info@happyvalleypride.com

Hardship fund

Limited free tickets are available for anyone experiencing hardship. Please limit your request to one ticket and one event only, so we can support as many people as possible. Email info@happyvalleypride.com with your request.

Free carer/personal assistant tickets

Limited carer/PA tickets are also available for disabled audience members who need support attending an event. Once you have purchased your ticket from Out Savvy, please email info@happyvalleypride.com with your request.

Access at the Big Day Out

If you need access support or advice during the Big Day Out, please visit our new Wellbeing Point (next to the Merch Stall and Information Point) where you will find:

  • A Mental Health First Aider
  • Free ear plugs, water, sanitiser, masks and sun cream
  • Site maps and programme
  • Folding chairs available for those with access needs

Unfortunately, we have not been able to secure funding to provide wheelchair tracking this year, so the ground will vary according to the weather. (We are re-applying for funding to provide tracking next year!)

Feel free to bring your own picnic blankets, cushions, camping chairs… and maybe an umbrella! Some bean bags will be provided, and a few folding chairs are available on request from the Wellbeing Point.

Hebden Bridge Town Centre Step-Free Access Map
